Pastor Mark & Cora King

ECC is Mark’s ‘home’ church as he first came to faith in Christ here in 1993. After a short period in building, he spent 17 years in publishing and book selling, including six years as director.
After answering the call to ministry, he then studied at the International Bible Institute of London before being ordained an Elim minister in 2002 at the Prestatin conference. He served first as an elder on ECC’s leadership team from 1996-1998 before becoming a member of the pastoral team in 1998.
During this period, Mark’s passion for the lost saw him setting up ECC’s ‘Every Home for Christ’, and the ‘JIM’ challenge project. He set up the Lifestyle Evangelism course in 1999, leading many evangelistic teams within the church as well as setting up the Ealing outreach of Teen Challenge which is in operation to this day.
Together with his wife Cora, a nurse for over twenty years, they both have a passion for overseas missions and consequently led and co-led, short-term mission teams to many countries such as; Nigeria, Guyana, Philippines, Romania, India and Spain where they have seen thousands healed and come to Christ.
In September 2004, Mark, Cora and their three children answered the call as full time missionaries to Cebu, Philippines where they serve amongst the poor.
Mark continues in his role on the leadership team at ECC as well as being responsible for all overseas mission projects including hosting ECC short-term missions.
More recently, Mark has been made team leader for the indigenous missionaries in Cebu and pastor’s Portland Christian Center which was planted in 2005.
