THEME: Emotional Healthy Disciple

Becoming emotionally mature requires self-awareness and a willingness to form new spiritual disciplines and practices.
Tuesday 21st April
Prayer:
Lord, help me to be honest with my own flaws, submitting them to the cross and receiving mercy and grace to become a transformed disciple.
Scripture: - Luke 9:49-55
“Master,” said John, we saw someone driving out demons in your name and we tried to stop him, because he is not one of us. Do not stop him, said Jesus.
Wednesday 22nd April
Prayer:
Lord, your church consists of both the young people who reject the fathers love, as well as older brothers who are critical, judgmental, or bitter. Forgive our negative attitudes and heal us so that we’re only infectious with your love and compassion.
Scripture: - Luke 15:20b-24

Thursday 23rd April
Prayer:
Teach me how to still my inner life and hope in the Word of God.
Scripture: - Psalm 130
Out of the depths I cry to you, O Lord. Hear my voice. Let your ears be attentive to my cry for mercy…
Friday 24th April
Prayer:
Lord, open our eyes to see the one individual who needs your help today. Teach us to embrace the ministry to the one as well as to the crowds.
Scripture: - Matthew 25:34-36; 40

Saturday 25th April
Prayer:
Lord, forgive me of the way I treat my fellow human beings. I can do better by your Spirit. Help me to see and treat others through the lens of Christ and his love.
Scripture: - Luke 10:30-37
A man was going down from Jerusalem to Jericho, when he was attacked by robbers… Jesus told him, go and do likewise.
Sunday 26th April
Love covers a multitude of sin (1 Peter 4:8)
The father loves us as sinners but doesn’t leave us in it.
Prayer:
Father, forgive us when we judge and condemn others while we don’t have the whole picture. Help us to see and love each person in their current situation as you do, Lord.
Scripture: - Luke 7: 36-39
When one of the Pharisees invited Jesus to have dinner with him, he went to the house and reclined at the table… that she is a sinner.
Monday 27th April
According to scripture and Jesus’ teaching, the way up is to bend low. The kingdom is all about service to the King and others.
Prayer:
Lord, remove all worldly thinking of power, control, and practices that hinders my true worship and obedience to you.
Scripture: - Mark 10:41-44
