Monday 15th June

PRAYER
Father God, we thank you for the gifts you have provided for each of us. Will you help us to appreciate and be content with the gifts He has provided.

SCRIPTURE
Hebrews 13:5

Tuesday 16th June

PRAYER

Ask God to help you seek first the Kingdom of God in your finances. Pray that God will transform your heart to long to put Him first in your finances.

SCRIPTURE

Proverbs 3:9

Wednesday 17th June

PRAYER

There are needs all around you. Do you see them?  Pray that God will open your eyes to the needs around you.

SCRIPTURE

2 Corinthians 9:7: "Each of you should give what you have decided in your heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver."

Thursday 18th June

PRAYER

Jesus, the Healer we ask that you send us to the sick neighbour who needs someone to make her a meal, to the church member who lost a loved one and needs someone to mourn with them, the friend who lost a job and could use some financial help for a car repair.

SCRIPTURE

Proverbs 11:25 "A generous person will prosper; whoever refreshes others will be refreshed."

(Most of us go through life so focused on what we need to accomplish that hour, day, week, or year, we miss the cries for help that surround us. )

Friday 19th June

PRAYER

God will remove the blinders preventing you from noticing the world around you. Pray that God will help you to really hear the words that your neighbours, friends, and church members are telling you. Pray that God will give you the ability to focus on the one in front of you instead of the next item on your calendar. Pray that God will open your eyes to the needs around you.

SCRIPTURE

Saturday 20th June

PRAYER

God, we pray that you will give us an eternal perspective on the resources we hold and give us the opportunity to turn fragile and momentary resources into an eternal investment.

SCRIPTURE

Luke 6:38: "Give, and it will be given to you. A good measure, pressed down, shaken together, and running over, will be poured into your lap. For with the measure you use, it will be measured to you."

Sunday 21st June

PRAYER

What eternal difference could the resources God provided make? How many will come to know God because you decided to put God first in your finances? What would happen if you viewed your finances through the lens of eternity?

SCRIPTURE

Deuteronomy 15:10: "Give generously to them and do so without a grudging heart; then because of this the Lord your God will bless you in all your work and in everything you put your hand to."

(It is an astounding transformation. The deal is completely unfair and only made possible through grace. Earthly treasures turn heavenly when we use them to impact eternity.)

Monday 22nd June

PRAYER

Pray that you will stop seeing the resources God has given you through a momentary, finite lens. Pray that God will open your eyes to the eternal impact your resources could have. Pray that God will help you to focus more on heavenly treasures than earthly ones. Pray that God will give you an eternal perspective on the resources you hold.

April 2026 Prayer Themes

Healthy Spiritual Inner Life (2).

We continue with our discipleship on being Emotionally Healthy Spirituality. I hope you have found it helpful as we seek to become more like Jesus in nature and character.

This month we will be praying around weekly themes of Enlarging our souls when grief and loss, Rhythms of morning & evening being with Jesus and Sabbath, becoming an emotional healthy spiritual disciple (All prayers have been adapted from the book – Day by Day: Peter Scazzero).

Week 1 - THEME: Enlarged souls through loss & grief (2)

7th April - 13th April

Partnering with God in our losses, will result in an increased self-knowledge and powerful transformation through our lives. Psalm 62: 5-8

Tuesday 7th April

Spring, summer, autumn, and winter seasons are seasons we all go through whether we like it or not. These seasons also teach us about our spiritual life and God’s way.

Prayer:

Lord, help us like the sons of Issachar to discern accurately the times and seasons of our life. Forgive us for fighting the things you send into our life to help plant something new. Open my eyes to where you may be redirecting me to something new or to a different season.

Scripture:

Ecclesiastes 3: 1-8 - There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under the heavens. A time to be born and a time to die, a time to plant and a time to uproot, a time to kill and a time to heal, a time to tear down and a time to build………a time for war and a time for peace.

Wednesday 8th April

Loss causes us to face our humanity and our limitations. We quickly understand that we’re not in control of our lives, but God is. Read the account of John the Baptist

Prayer:

Lord, forgive me for the pride that causes me to see interruption to my plans as invasions. Forgive me for trying to do more that you intend with my life. Help me to be like John the Baptist, accepting my losses and understanding my limits.

Scripture:

John 3:26-30 - They came to John and said to him, “Rabbi, that man who was with you on the other side of the Jordan – the one you testified about – look, he is baptizing, and everyone is going to him…… He must become greater; I must become less.

Thursday 9th April

Jesus wept over Jerusalem!!! He didn’t deny his emotion of pain and sadness over the people. Jesus, our model man displayed an array of emotions when nearing his own death in Luke 22:44.

Prayer:

Teach us what being real in prayer looks like as we draw near to the throne of grace and mercy.

Scripture:

Luke 19:41-44 - As he approached Jerusalem and saw the city, he wept over it and said “If you, even you, had known on this day what would bring you peace – but now it is hidden from your eyes………….you did not recognise the time of God coming to you”

Friday 10th April

The God-like response to loss or disappointment is not to ignore it or a cover-up. Scripture teaches us to deal honestly and prayerfully when we experience such realities.

Prayer:

When we are tempted to ignore or cover-up our losses, may the Lord grant us courage to see and wait on Him.

Scripture:

Hebrews 5:7-8 - During the days of Jesus’ life on earth, he offered up prayers and petitions with fervent cries and tears… and he was heard because of his reverent submission...

Saturday 11th April

This account of Job teaches us how to trust in the living God when we suffer losses, hardship, and disappointment.

Prayer:

Lord, help me to trust and wait on you especially in areas where I can’t see what you are doing, or the end to the suffering and hardship.

Scripture:

Job 42:12-17 - The Lord blessed the latter part of Job’s life more than the former part… And so, Job died, an old man full of years.

February 2026 Prayer Themes

Re-digging our Spiritual Inheritance in ECC.

Scripture: Genesis 26:18-26

The biblical narrative is found in Genesis 26 when God gave Isaac a geographical location to live in and a promise of a blessed life, including an inheritance for his descendants because of the covenant God made with Abraham, his father.

Isaac, like his father Abraham obeyed God and was blessed, probably because of his obedience. However, the story doesn’t end here as there arose a problem. Isaac’s inheritance (wells of water) necessary for his family’s livelihood and business had been stopped by the Philistines and filled with earth [dirt] Genesis 26:15.

Isaac had a choice!! Should he contend and reclaim his inheritance or should he stay small and comfortable. After all, he wasn’t lacking in any way. Isaac understood the wells were part of his generational inheritance. Isaac and his servants began the task of re-digging to claim back what God had promised his lineage.

He was relentless. He contended for the wells with the people of the land and the third time God made room for him at “Rehoboth” which means enlargement and fruitfulness.

This month we will be praying around weekly themes and naming our spiritual wells in preparation, prayer, presence, and power as we align in what God is birthing in our time.

SCRIPTURE - “Unless the Lord builds the house, they labour in vain who builds it! (Psalm 127:1)

Wednesday 4th February

SCRIPTURE - “Assuredly, I say to you, if you have faith and do not doubt, you will not only do what was done to the fig tree, but you will say to this mountain be removed and cast into the sea and it shall be done” (Matthew 21:21)

Thursday 5th February
PRAYER - Lord, will you help us to be intentional and relentless as we re-dig the wells of prayer, with supernatural healing and miracles, evangelism and missions and innovation with new mindset, purpose and clarity.
