WEEK 4 - Rhythm of Fasting

Fasting is a spiritual resource for effective intercession and spiritual growth.
Acts 14:23, 1 Corinthians 7:5

Friday 22nd May

PRAYER
Jesus(the bridegroom) was telling his disciples what they must do when He is no longer with them and links it to new wine and new wineskin.

Prayer: Lord, this is hard but I’m willing to start this new rhythm in my life today. Show me how to start and build incrementally.

“But the days will come when the bridegroom is taken away, then they will fast”

Saturday 23rd May

PRAYER

Help us to carry the burden for change through fasting as we become sensitive to the prophetic word spoken over our lives, church, and city.

Sunday 24th May

PRAYER

When we face certain situations in life, we ask for the Spirit’s help to be able to fast and not give up.

Monday 25th May

PRAYER

As we develop this rhythm of fasting, may we be sensitive to the Spirit’s voice and instructions as we seek Him.

Tuesday 26th May

PRAYER

Lord, as church leaders call for a public fast to see godly change back in public life, may many respond leading to a notable shift in the atmosphere.

Wednesday 27th May

PRAYER

Father may these periods of private fasting bring lasting change to my life and circumstances.

PRAYER

Lord, help us to fast with the right and correct motives, ones that impact our life and those around us and not as a religious or legalistic activity.

Lord, as we commit ourselves to regular fasting, I declare that cycles of failure, addictions, and negativity will be broken.

Lord, we thank You now as we wait for Your promises of illumination, direction, provision,  rejuvenation and restoration.

Abba, let Your love invade my life. Give me courage to faithfully follow Your unique path for my life regardless of how it may lead or the cost.
