22nd -28th March

A mature spirituality requires that you go through the pain of the Wall (Peter Scazzero)

Sunday 22nd March

Prayer:

Grant me the courage, Father, to embark on the unique journey you have made for me. By faith, I surrender all need and desire to be in control of every event, situation, and person I will meet today.

SCRIPTURE - Genesis 12:1-3

The Lord said to Abram, “Go from your country, your people and father’s house to the land I will show you...”

Monday 23rd March

Prayer:

Father, teach me to trust you even when I feel like I am alone, and you are asleep in the boat with storms raging around me. Awaken me to the treasures that can only be found in darkness. Grant me grace to follow you into the next place for me.

SCRIPTURE - Song of Songs 1:2,3:1-3

Let him kiss me with the kisses of his mouth - for our love is...

Tuesday 24th March

Prayer:

Lord, today, I invite you to cut any unhealthy attachment or idols out of me. Psalm 32 teaches me the way to go. Help me not to be stubborn but rather cooperative as you lead me to freedom. Lead me to the place of communion with you, where true peace and rest is found.

SCRIPTURE - Hebrews 12: 7-11

Endure hardship as a discipline, God is treating you as his child.

Wednesday 25th March

Prayer:

Abba Father, I open my clenched fists to surrender everything you have given me. Re-establish my identity in you – not in my family, work, accomplishments, or what others think of me. Cleanse me of things that do not conform to your will. By faith I unite my will to yours so that the nature of Christ maybe formed in me.

SCRIPTURE - Genesis 22:9-12

When they reached the place God told him about. Abram built an altar there and arranged the wood on it…Now I know your fear God,…your only son.

Thursday 26th March

Prayer:

Father, I ask your forgiveness for my attitude when I treat you as my personal assistant or secretary. Your ways are beyond understanding and unsearchable. Help me to put my trust in you and not in my situation. In your presence Lord, I am quiet.

SCRIPTURE - Romans 11:33-36

Oh, the depths of the riches of the wisdom and knowledge of God… To him be the glory forever!

Friday 27th March

Prayer:

Father, when I read even part of the story of Job, I too am overwhelmed by your “wildness”. Your ways and timing are beyond me. Job moved from “hearing you” to “seeing you”. Lead me, Lord, on a pathway so that I too may see you.

SCRIPTURE - Job 42:1-6

Then Job replied to the Lord: “I know that you can do all things; no plan of yours can be thwarted….” And repent in dust and ashes

Saturday 28th March

Prayer:

Lord, fill me with simple trust that even out of the most awful evil around me, you are able to bring great good – for me, for others, and for your great glory.

SCRIPTURE - Psalm 69:1-3, 15-16

Save me, O God, for the waters have come up to my neck… Answer me, Lord, out of the goodness of your love; in your mercy turn to me.
