Proverbs 4:7 “Wisdom is the principle thing, therefore get wisdom. In all your getting, get understanding”

In these perilous end times that we are living in at present, it is imperative that we are aware of the times and seasons that we are in right now. We need wisdom and truth to come against the spirit of deception and lies of the enemy more so now than ever before.

The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom; the knowledge of the Holy One is understanding

• Lord, teach us to have a reverential awe and respect for You, so we don’t sin against You. (Proverbs 1:7)

• Lord, teach us as parents to raise our children in the fear and admonition of God. (Ephesians 6:4 /Proverbs 22:6)

• Hide Your words in the heart of our young adults, teenagers, youth and children, so they will be victorious in all areas of life. (Psalm 119:11)

• May we manifest godly wisdom and counsel in all we do for the Kingdom of God. (Romans 14:17)

Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding.‍ ‍Proverbs 3:5-6

• Lord, we pray for wisdom for all leaders in ECC and the Nation to abound with wisdom that is pure and peaceable. (James 3:17)

• Lord, we pray for such wisdom to be gentle, willing to yield, full of mercy, many good fruits, without partiality and hypocrisy. (James 3:13)

• Lord, help us to demonstrate wisdom and understanding among ourselves.

• Help us to walk in wisdom through our good conduct and that our works will be done in meekness of wisdom. (James 3:13b)

Theme: INVITATION TO GO HIGHER

1. We pray that there will be a fresh fire in our spiritual lives.

2. Let us be a sacrificial people who put everything aside that is stopping us going higher.

3. Change our perspective and vision that we will see and think like You do.

4. We pray that the spiritual temperature of our church will increase in every individual’s life.

Theme: INVITATION TO GO HIGHER

1. We pray that there will be a fresh fire in our spiritual lives.

2. Let us be a sacrificial people who put everything aside that is stopping us going higher.

3. Change our perspective and vision that we will see and think like You do.

4. We pray that the spiritual temperature of our church will increase in every individual’s life.

Theme: Jesus’s Model of Prayer and Priority

Lead us not into temptation and deliver us from evil.

We worship God and honour His name as our Protector, our Deliverer and Hiding Place.

Contend for healing, those spiritually and mentally afflicted amongst us and in our communities. Pray for inner strength and conviction when faced with temptation and courage to make the right choice. Deliver our Government from passing evil and wicked policies.

Theme: Jesus’s Model of Prayer and Priority

Give us this day our daily bread, forgive us as we forgive others.

We worship God as a loving Father, who provides and delights in meeting His children’s need either financial, material, physical or spiritual.

We intercede for those in our communities with no employment or source of income, housing needs etc. For our relationships to be marked with the spirit of reconciliation.

Our heart posture is upward and outward. As His heart and His way becomes known to us, our will bends in submission to His.

Let us invite God to rule and reign in our lives, communities, congregation, city and Nation. (This is a call to war). 

Pray for hunger and knowledge of the word, the consecration to His will and empowerment of the Holy Spirit.

Our Father in Heaven, hallowed be Your name.

Our heart posture is upward as we worship God and focus on his attribute as a Father (relationship/ intimacy)

Let every lie that we have believed about the Father be renounced as we behold and speak the truth according to the word and honour His name.

Theme: Models of courage to inspire His Church

We learn from other believers who have overcome struggles, this can inspire us to be bold in the face of our own trials. However, Jesus’ response to the prospect of His death on the cross is our greatest model of courage. He understood fear but he accepted the troubles ahead because he knew he was accomplishing God’s plan for him. Courage does not always mean fearlessness. Courage is stepping out in faith despite our fear and trusting God to fulfil his plan for us as we faithfully trust and follow him.

Theme: Courage to deal with life’s obstacles and challenges

The more convinced that we are that we can overcome an obstacle, the more boldly we will attack it. If we are convinced that God will help us overcome our obstacles, then we will be even more courageous in moving ahead. This conviction that God will help us comes mostly from reading and studying God’s Word, where we discover His desire and power to accomplish great things through us.

Be the one to take a stand for Jesus so that others will be inspired to follow.
